Carbonetworks Changes Name to ENXSuite

New Identity Reflects Increasing Demand for Business Intelligence Platform to Transform Energy Assets into Tangible Financial Results

SAN FRANCISCO – JUNE 3, 2010 – Carbonetworks, a leading provider of on-demand energy performance management solutions, has changed its name to ENXSuite.

The rebrand marks the next step in the company’s strategic development, in line with a new era of understanding around the impact businesses worldwide are having on the environment. The ENXSuite name reflects the company’s broad customer adoption as an energy performance management provider. Its vision of empowering companies to reduce costs and grow revenue through better management of energy has resonated well with organizations across the US and Europe.

ENXSuite takes a unified view of energy, greenhouse gases, carbon, water, waste and other energy sources and analyzes these in the same way other business assets are managed. In doing so, it turns vast amounts of complex data into useful intelligence to improve business decision-making. Customers are then introduced to a community that has the skills and tools to help them reduce energy usage and become more efficient.

“As the company grows its market-leading position internationally, and invests further in innovation as more is understood about energy use, we felt it was appropriate to change the name,” said Michael Meehan, founder and CTO, ENXSuite. “Our new identity will enable us to continue demonstrating the financial benefits of reducing a company’s impact on the environment through carbon and energy reductions for its business, its customers and the environment. Companies are really starting to recognize that their energy use is a tangible asset that can be managed just like sales data – which means it can be measured, managed and monetized.”

“We’ve come a long way in the decade since the concept of managing energy performance was born. Now is the start of a new era – improved understanding about energy use, improved technology and proven financial impact,” added Meehan.

ENXSuite has connected hundreds of companies in over 40 countries to the world’s largest carbon and energy management network, and seen real ROI in terms of energy use reductions. City of Chicago, Dean Foods and West Fraser are just a few experiencing the benefits of being able to measure, manage and monetize their energy assets.

In conjunction with this announcement, the company is also announcing today that it has hired Beatriz Infante as CEO and secured further funding to support its growth and expansion.
